So sorry to have missed last week’s update into the exciting life of F M Laster. When we last left off, F M Laster was working on setting her weekly blogging schedule in order to become a much better writer for 2018. Along the way, she has gotten a job working at the local Ross Department store as a security specialist. Basically, she stands at the front of the store like a Wal-Mart greeter, except much prettier, and welcomes everyone to Ross. It is as soul crushing as it sounds but it does afford a couple of things.
One, it keeps her in pocket money and wine money. Two, it allows for her to work on her PhD which as we know she is crushing (not). Three, it allows for her to slowly work on studying for her teacher’s test which will be taken by February of 2018; come Hell or High Water! Now, for the most important reason, it allows her some contact with the outside world outside of the four walls of her home. Oh I also forgot the most important reason; it gives her just a few more months before she has to get a grown up job. And sooner or later she must grow up.
Oh the stories to tell about this place, and stories will be told. Like for example a day in the life of an SPS (Store Protection Specialist). Trust me, there is nothing being protected nor am I a specialist.
Well until next time.
