Travel Tuesday: Angkor Wat

This was my most fabulous place in the world to visit, Angor Wat. I dream of returning there one day, and I hope to do a complete Asia tour in the near future.  What I want to do is to make just enough money to quit my job for a year, and travel around the planet. Hey, a girl can dream. Anywho, here’s the details on Angkor Wat and I hope you get a chance to visit one of my favorite places in the world. Oh yeah and pace yourself, this place is HUGE!

Angkor Wat is a temple complex in Cambodia and is the largest religious monument in the world, on a site measuring 162.6 hectares. Originally constructed as a Hindu temple dedicated to the god Vishnu for the Khmer Empire, it was gradually transformed into a Buddhist temple towards the end of the 12th century.
